Mr. Squeri has been Chairman and CEO of American Express Company since 2018. As Chairman and CEO, Mr. Squeri has a unique perspective and has demonstrated leadership qualities and management capabilities to drive the long-term success of the Company.

Mr. Squeri has held many positions during his 38 years at American Express, including Vice Chairman of American Express Company, Group President of Global Corporate Services, Group President of Global Services and Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Mr. Squeri is chairman of the Board of Trustees for Manhattan College, a member of the Board of Governors for Monsignor McClancy Memorial High School, a Trustee for the Valerie Fund and a member of the Board of Overseers for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is a member of the Business Roundtable, where he chairs the corporate governance committee, as well as the Business Council and the American Society of Corporate Executives. Mr. Squeri received his Bachelor of Science and his Master of Business Administration from Manhattan College.

Mr. Baltimore’s extensive hospitality and real estate experience coupled with his public company CEO position allows him to provide a valuable and diverse perspective to our Board.

Mr. Baltimore has been Chairman and CEO of Park Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a NYSE-listed lodging real estate investment trust, since 2016. From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Baltimore was President, CEO and Director of RLJ Lodging Trust, a NYSE-listed real estate investment company.

Mr. Baltimore currently serves as an Executive Committee member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association; a director of the University of Virginia Investment Management Company; a board member of the UVA McIntire School of Commerce Foundation; and a director of the Real Estate Roundtable. Mr. Baltimore is also a member of the board of directors of Park Hotels & Resorts, Inc. and Comcast Corporation. He is also a member of the audit committee of the board of directors of Comcast Corporation. Previously, he was a member of the board of directors of AutoNation, Inc. and Prudential Financial, Inc. Mr. Baltimore received his Bachelor of Science and his Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Brennan’s extensive career at The Vanguard Group, Inc. (Vanguard) provides him with the ability to understand our institutional investors’ perspectives and a deep knowledge of the financial industry’s operations and regulations, risk oversight and management and audit and reporting matters.

Mr. Brennan has been Chairman Emeritus and Senior Advisor at Vanguard, a global investment management company, since 2010. Mr. Brennan joined Vanguard in July 1982, was elected Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 1985, President in 1989, CEO from 1996 to 2008 and Chairman of the Board from 1998 to 2009.

Mr. Brennan was Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Notre Dame; Chairman of the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program; and Founding Trustee of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Brennan is a former Chairman of the Financial Accounting Foundation, an overseer of financial accounting and reporting standard-setting boards. Previously, he served as a member of the board of directors of General Electric Company and LPL Financial Holdings, Inc. Mr. Brennan received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and his Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

Mr. Chernin is the founder and CEO of North Road Company, a global multi-genre film and TV studio which owns Chernin Entertainment, LLC, a film and television production company, and The Chernin Group, LLC, which focuses on strategic opportunities in media, technology and entertainment. Mr. Chernin is the former President, Chief Operating Officer and director of News Corporation and the former Chairman and CEO of the Fox Group, where he oversaw the global operations of the company’s film, television, satellite cable and digital media businesses. Mr. Chernin is Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of Malaria No More; a director and Co-Chair of the Board of Visitors of the University of California, Berkeley and a former director of the Harvard AIDS Initiative.

Mr. Clayton’s breadth of legal and regulatory experience, as well as his deep knowledge and understanding of domestic and international financial markets, make him an asset to our Board.

Mr. Clayton has been Senior Policy Advisor and Of Counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP since 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Clayton served as Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 2017 to 2020. During that time, in addition to chairing the SEC, he was a member of the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the Financial Stability Board. Mr. Clayton also participated on the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions. Prior to joining the SEC, Mr. Clayton was a partner at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he was a member of the firm’s management committee and co-head of the firm’s corporate practice and cybersecurity group (2001-2017). From 2009 to 2017, Mr. Clayton was a Lecturer in Law and Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and, since 2021, has been an Adjunct Professor at both the Wharton School and the Carey Law School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Clayton is currently the independent chair, chair of the executive committee and a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee of Apollo Global Management. He is also a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Systemic Resolution Advisory Committee. Mr. Clayton received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania, his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ralph de la Vega is the founder and Chairman of the De La Vega Group, the former Vice Chairman of AT&T Inc. and former CEO of Business Solutions and International, where he led AT&T’s Integrated Business Solutions group (both mobile and IP services), and AT&T’s Mexican wireless business and DIRECTV Latin America. Mr. de la Vega is the former President and CEO of AT&T Mobile and Business Solutions and the former Chief Operating Officer of Cingular Wireless. Mr. de la Vega serves on the boards of Junior Achievement Worldwide and the Latino Donor Collaborative and is a former executive board member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Leonsis’ success as an innovator and entrepreneur allows him to identify business opportunities and drive new strategies based on changing technologies, social media and digital trends.

Mr. Leonsis founded Monumental Sports & Entertainment, LLC, a sports, entertainment, media and technology company in 2010 and is currently the chairman and CEO. Mr. Leonsis was Chairman of Revolution Money, Inc., which American Express acquired in January 2010. From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Leonsis held several executive positions and was Vice Chairman Emeritus of AOL LLC, a leading global ad-supported internet company.

Mr. Leonsis serves as a board member for the Hellenic Initiative and for OxiWear. He is the Advisory Board Chair for Georgetown Entrepreneurship; the Chairman for D.C. College Access Program, Inc.; co-founder and Vice-Chair for the Greater Washington Partnership; and co-founder and co-Executive Chairman of aXiomatic Gaming. Mr. Leonsis is also a council member for the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Mr. Leonsis currently serves as chairman of the board of directors, chair of the nominating and governance committee, a member of the audit committee and a member of the executive committee of Groupon, Inc. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.

Ms. Majoras brings decades of legal, regulatory and public policy experience to our Board.

Ms. Majoras joined Procter & Gamble Co. in 2008 and was named Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in 2010, where she served in such capacity until 2022. She was previously Chair of the Federal Trade Commission from 2004 until 2008. Ms. Majoras served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General and later Principal Deputy of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division from 2001 to 2003. Earlier in her career, she was an associate and partner at the law firm Jones Day LLP.

Ms. Majoras previously served on the board of directors of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. She is currently a member of the executive committee of the United States Golf Association and serves on the boards of Westminster College and the First Tee Foundation. Ms. Majoras is a member of the board of directors, chair of the sustainability and public policy committee and a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee of Valero Energy Corporation. Ms. Majoras received her Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College and her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia.

Ms. Parkhill contributes her broad-ranging financial accounting expertise and banking experience to our Board.

Ms. Parkhill has been Executive Vice President and CFO of Medtronic, Inc. since 2016, where she serves on the operating and executive committees, is chair of the ESG committee and leads the global finance organization and other key supporting functions including Treasury, Controller, Tax, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Strategy, Business Development and Information Technology. Previously, Ms. Parkhill was the Vice Chairman and CFO of Comerica Inc. from 2011 to 2016. Prior to Comerica Inc., she was the CFO of the Commercial Banking business at JP Morgan Chase and Co. from 2005 to 2011.

Ms. Parkhill previously served as a member of the International Women’s Forum, as a National Trustee for the Boys and Girls Club of America and on the board of directors of Methodist Health System. Ms. Parkhill received her Bachelor of Science from Southern Methodist University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Phillips’ extensive career in the technology industry and financial services provides him with a valued perspective on our Board.

Mr. Phillips has been the Managing Partner and co-founder of Recognize, a technology private equity firm, since 2020. From 2010 to 2020, Mr. Phillips was the Chairman and CEO of Infor, Inc., an enterprise software application provider. Prior to that, he was President of Oracle Corporation and a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Phillips is a former director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Mr. Phillips currently serves as a director for Apollo Theater and the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Phillips also serves as a member of the board of directors of Paramount Global and Compass, Inc. He is currently a member of Paramount Global’s nominating and governance committee and Compass’ audit committee and nominating and corporate governance committee. Mr. Phillips also serves as Compass, Inc.’s lead independent director. Previously, Mr. Phillips served as a member of the board of directors of Oscar Health. Mr. Phillips received his Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy, his Master of Business Administration from Hampton University and his Juris Doctor from New York University.

Ms. Pike brings extensive payments and financial industry experience to our Board and has served as the Chair of the Board of American Express National Bank, our U.S. banking subsidiary, since 2019, including as co-Chair with Stephen Squeri from 2021 to 2022. Ms. Pike joined the board of American Express National Bank in 2013 and is a member of American Express National Bank’s Audit Committee and Risk and Compliance Committee.

Ms. Pike is the former President of Capital One Bank and a former member of the Capital One Executive Committee from 2007 to 2012. Previously, Ms. Pike was former President of Business Banking at Bank of America (BOA), as well as the former President of California for BOA from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, Ms. Pike was Managing Director of Consumer Banking at FleetBoston from 2002 to 2004, prior to FleetBank’s acquisition by BOA in 2004.

Ms. Pike currently serves as a non-executive director, chair of the risk committee, member of the audit committee, member of the nominations and governance committee, member of the remuneration committee, and member of the investment committee for Hiscox Ltd. Ms. Pike is also a board member of BankWork$ and the California State University Channel Islands Foundation. Ms. Pike is a graduate of the Executive School of Marketing at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Dr. Vasella brings to the Board his deep experience leading a highly regulated global business as well as a global perspective.

Dr. Vasella has been an Honorary Chairman of Novartis AG since 2013. Prior to that, Dr. Vasella served as Chairman of Novartis from 1999 to 2013 and as CEO from 1996 to 2010. From 1992 to 1996, Dr. Vasella held the positions of CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President and Head of Worldwide Development and Head of Corporate Marketing at Sandoz Pharma Ltd.

Dr. Vasella is a foreign honorary member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences and a former trustee of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Dr. Vasella is a director, chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee, and a member of the compensation committee at PepsiCo, Inc. He also serves as a director at SciClone Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Vasella received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Bern in Switzerland and attended Harvard University’s Program for Management Development.

Ms. Wardell brings her extensive senior leadership and global management experience to our Board.

Ms. Wardell is the former Executive Chairman of Adtalem Global Education, Inc., a position she held from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that Ms. Wardell was the Chairman and CEO of Adtalem Global Education, Inc. from 2016 to 2021. From 2004 to 2016, Ms. Wardell was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for The RLJ Companies.

Ms. Wardell serves as a member of the board of directors of Adtalem Global Education, Inc. Ms. Wardell is currently a member of the Business Council and the Executive Leadership Council. Previously, she served on the boards of Lowe’s Companies, G-lll Apparel Group, Ltd and Adtalem Global Education, Inc. Ms. Wardell received her Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College, her Juris Doctor from Stanford University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Young has deep cybersecurity expertise and experience in national security and emergency preparedness.

Mr. Young has been the Executive Vice President – Business Development, Strategy and Ventures of Microsoft Corp., since 2020. From 2017 to 2020, he was the CEO of McAfee, LLC, one of the world’s leading independent cybersecurity companies. Prior to that, Mr. Young was a Senior Vice President and General Manager at Intel Security Group, where he led the initiative to spin out McAfee. Previously, he led cybersecurity efforts at Cisco, RSA (a division of Dell EMC) and AOL. Mr. Young also led end user computing at VMware and cofounded the company Cyveillance.

Mr. Young is a member of the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Cybersecurity Advisory Committee and a former member of the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC). He is a former director for the non-profit Cyber Threat Alliance and a former member of the Board of Trustees of Princeton University. Previously, Mr. Young served as a member of the board of directors of Snap Inc. Mr. Young received his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and his Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

Doug Buckminster, Vice Chairman

Doug Buckminster is Vice Chairman of American Express. He plays a central role in driving the overall strategic direction of the company and accelerating growth opportunities globally. He also leads several areas of the organization including Global Advertising and Brand Management, China Operations, and Enterprise Innovation Partners which is responsible for digital incubation, strategic partnerships, and corporate development.

Doug previously served as Group President of Global Consumer Services responsible for global consumer products and services, consumer banking, digital strategy and capabilities, and risk and information management; President, Global Network & International Card Services responsible for growing the consumer and bank partnership businesses in more than 150 countries; and President, International Consumer and Small Business Services. Doug has also served as regional president for American Express International's Latin America, Canada, and Caribbean (LACC) region, and general manager of the International Lending and Insurance Services organizations. Doug joined American Express in 1985 as part of the Graduate Management Summer Intern Program.

Doug serves on the Board of Trustees for the Harlem Children’s Zone, and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Boston University Questrom School of Business.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Boston University, and an MBA from New York University.

Doug, his wife Dianne, and their two daughters live in New York.

Mohammed Badi, President, Global Network Services

Mohammed Badi is the President of Global Network Services (GNS) at American Express. In this role, he leads our network-related businesses, including Network Services and Operations, Global Network Partnerships, and our Accertify merchant fraud and risk protection unit.

Prior to this role, Mohammed was Chief Strategy Officer at American Express. He was responsible for the company’s medium-to-long term enterprise-wide strategy, running the company’s long-range planning process and ensuring alignment between the enterprise strategy, business unit strategies, and the M&A strategy.

Before joining American Express in October 2018, Mohammed was Senior Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he led the firm’s global Payments & Transaction Banking Practice. Mohammed had broad exposure to the strategic, operational, and organizational challenges facing the payments industry and worked with a number of fintechs, payments companies, and banks.

Prior to BCG, Mohammed worked with multiple technology start-ups. He cofounded a Silicon Valley medical device startup, was part of the pre-initial public offering team of a technology start-up, and worked as a scientist for several years with NASA’s Gravity Probe B Relativity Mission.

Mohammed earned his doctorate, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and his Bachelor of Arts degree in French – all from Stanford University. He has served on the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University and is currently an adjunct professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business and Stanford University. He is a Trustee of the Tenement Museum of New York City.

Mohammed lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.

Alex Drummond, Chief Strategy Officer

Alex Drummond is the Chief Strategy Officer at American Express. He is responsible for the company’s medium-to-long term enterprise-wide strategy, running the company’s long-range planning process and ensuring alignment between the enterprise, business unit, and M&A strategies. Alex also serves as Chairman of the Board of American Express Carte France, American Express’ French legal entity.

Prior to joining American Express, Alex was a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) with deep experience in payments. He led Payments and Transaction Banking for North America and was part of BCG’s global payments management team. In this role, Alex covered card issuers, networks, merchant acquirers, payment infrastructure players, and fintechs.

During his time at BCG, Alex also led payments projects in growth strategy, large scale cost transformation, customer journey reimagination efforts, cobrand negotiation and turnaround, and strategic due diligence for both North American and European financial institutions.

Alex holds an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Université Catholique de Louvain. Prior to joining BCG, he spent over four years working in the technology sector.

Alex is an avid soccer fan and lives in Manhattan with his wife and two sons.

Andres Espinosa, Chief Credit Officer

Andrés Espinosa currently serves as Chief Credit Officer of American Express, a role he assumed in 2015. As CCO, Andrés is responsible for the enterprise’s credit, fraud, and predictive decisioning functions. Under his leadership, American Express has outpaced competitor revenue growth, while maintaining fraud and credit loss rates half of the industry. Additionally, he is a member of the American Express Executive Committee, which develops the company’s strategic direction and key policies.

Andrés started his career at American Express in 1994. He has since served in a wide range of roles across revenue management and risk management functions. Throughout his tenure, Andrés has collaborated with enterprise partners to fundamentally transform the company’s infrastructure and strategies, including successfully upgraded core decisioning engines to incorporate cutting edge machine learning technology.

A native of Ecuador, Andrés is deeply committed to advancing economic opportunities and proudly serves as a board member for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Additionally, Andrés is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders and works as an executive sponsor for the Hispanic Origin and Latin American Council at American Express.

A firm believer in continuing education, Andrés holds a Doctorate in economics from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Kansas State University.

Outside of work, Andrés resides in New Jersey with his wife and their three children. He is an unaccomplished - but persistent - fly fisherman and long-distance runner.

Alan Gallo, Executive Vice President, Chief Audit Executive Internal Audit Group

Alan Gallo is a well-reputed executive with deep experience spanning Finance, Strategy, Business Transformation, M&A and the payments industry. During his 30+ years at American Express, Alan has come to be considered an outstanding and inspirational leader, having led global teams of up to 2,000 employees. Alan currently serves as the Chief Audit Executive and head of the Internal Audit Group, providing strategic leadership on internal and external audit, compliance, and risk matters. Alan reports functionally to the Audit and Compliance Committee of the company’s Board of Directors, and administratively to Chairman and CEO Stephen J. Squeri. Alan is also a member of American Express’ Executive Committee, which consists of senior leadership responsible for developing the Company's strategic direction.

Previously, Alan led Global Business Services, where he oversaw procurement and supplier management, real estate and workplace experience, training for customer service representatives, as well as sales support and insights. Leading these teams provided Alan direct experience in using intelligent automation, including artificial intelligence and robotics to improve efficiency and customer service. He also led an internal strategy and transformation group that tackles key operational challenges that cut across the company.

Alan has also held a variety of senior positions in Finance, serving as a divisional CFO for the company’s consumer and commercial payment businesses, prepaid and digital wallet groups, operating functions including technology and customer service, travel services and international banking. He also served as the head of Corporate Planning where he led the company’s business planning process.

Alan is passionate about supporting the community and serves on the boards of Brooklyn Community Services and The League Education and Treatment Center, both of which are Brooklyn-based non-profit organizations. He also serves on the New York Leadership Council of the Nature Conservancy.

Alan holds a BS and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status). He currently serves as Chair of the Alumni Council for NYU Stern, and previously served as the Council’s Development Committee Chair. In 2010, he was awarded the Stern School of Business Distinguished Beta Gamma Sigma Alumnus from NYU. Alan resides in Brooklyn with his wife and children.

Howard Grosfield, President, U.S. Consumer Services

Howard Grosfield is President, U.S. Consumer Services at American Express. In this role, he leads all aspects of the U.S. Consumer Card Division, as well as the company’s Global Travel & Lifestyle business, the Centurion Lounge network, the Global Dining & Resy business, and U.S. Consumer Banking. He is also a member of American Express’ Executive Committee.
Howard previously served as Executive Vice President & General Manager of U.S. Consumer Marketing and Global Premium Services. Prior to this role, he was Country Manager for American Express Canada and President and CEO of Amex Bank of Canada.
Howard joined American Express in 2004 in New York as a Vice President in the Strategic Planning Group. He subsequently led Regional Marketing & Strategy for Latin America & Canada and then became Vice President & General Manager for the Company’s International Small Business Services Division.
Before joining American Express, Howard spent several years as a Principal with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He was also a lawyer with Osler in Toronto.
Howard holds a bachelor’s degree and LLB (J.D.) With Distinction from Western University in Canada.
Howard resides in New York with his wife and two daughters.

Monique R. Herena, Chief Colleague Experience Officer

Monique Herena is the Chief Colleague Experience Officer at American Express, a role she assumed in early 2019. As Chief Colleague Experience Officer, Monique is responsible for all aspects of the colleague experience, including talent management, talent acquisition, leadership development, colleague servicing, compensation and total well-being. Monique leads all colleague experience functions globally. As part of the Executive Committee, Monique works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee to build a culture that attracts, retains and develops the best colleagues. She also serves as an officer of the American Express National Bank.

Monique joined American Express from BNY Mellon, where she was Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications. She worked closely with the Chief Executive Officer and senior management team to lead the development and execution of a business and culture transformation strategy that has made the bank more competitive in the market for talent.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Monique was at PepsiCo where she served in a number of increasingly senior HR leadership roles, including assignments in Dubai and Chicago, as well as in their Purchase, NY headquarters. Her career also included several years at both Honeywell and The Quaker Oats Company, where she held leadership roles in a wide range of HR disciplines, including talent management, talent acquisiton, mergers & acquisitions and Strategic HR business partner. She began her career as an executive retained search and organization change consultant.

Monique sits on both the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Policy Association (HRPA) and is also Chair of the HRPA American Health Policy Institute Advisory Board. Additionally, she is a graduate and faculty member of the Cornell ILR School CHRO Top Seat program. In 2022, The HR Digest named Monique as a Top CHRO of the Year and, for two years in a row (2017 and 2018), she was recognized by American Banker as one of the "Most Powerful Women in Banking" and “Women to Watch.”

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside (UWP) and in 2021, she received the UWP Distinguished Alumni Award. She also earned two Masters of Arts degrees, one in Communication Studies from Northern Illinois University and one in Organization Psychology and Change Leadership from Columbia University, where she serves as a guest lecturer and established the Columbia Herena Family Scholarship Fund for future change leaders.

Monique lives in New York, NY with her husband Louis. They are proud parents of Matthew, Michael and Mia and their French Bulldog, Stella.

Raymond Joabar, Group President, Global Merchant and Network Services

Raymond Joabar is a global C-Suite-experienced executive with more than 30 years at American Express. With a proven history of driving broad organizational change, his leadership helps fuel innovation, drive scale, generate revenue, and deepen brand relevance for the Company. As a board-elected officer and Executive Committee member, Raymond helps shape American Express’ strategic direction and key policies.
Raymond currently serves as Group President of American Express’ Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) organization. In this position, he leads a global team overseeing relationships with millions Amex-accepting businesses, as well as third party payment providers, strategic bank and fintech partners, and the Company’s globally integrated payments network.

Under his current leadership, the company continues to grow its global merchant acceptance footprint and modernize its payment network to meet a broader range of customer needs. Since 2017, the GMNS team has more than tripled the number of places that accept American Express worldwide, driving significant scale and revenue for the Company.

Prior to his current role, he served as Chief Risk Officer and President of Global Risk and Compliance of American Express and American Express National Bank. As Chief Risk Officer, Raymond developed American Express’ and the U.S. Bank’s risk appetite, ensuring safety and soundness, and managing Enterprise-wide risk. He guided the organization through the crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic, navigating the risk landscape and fortifying controls resiliently.

Raymond's track record spans multiple countries and lines of business. He accelerated growth as President of the International Consumer Card Services and Global Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS), the Company’s fastest growing segment responsible for issuing American Express Cards across thirty-three countries outside of the U.S. He was also at the helm of the Company’s global customer servicing and credit & fraud operations. In that time, he drove the digital transformation across a large team of professionals who serve customers and bring the American Express Brand Promise of Trust, Service, & Security to life via the mobile, web, and phone channels.

Christophe Le Caillec, Chief Financial Officer

Christophe Le Caillec was named Chief Financial Officer of American Express in August 2023. He oversees the company's financial operations worldwide and is a member of the American Express Executive Committee.

As an officer of the company, he plays an important role in developing the strategic direction for American Express and represents the company to the financial community.

Prior to being named CFO of American Express, Christophe was Deputy CFO.  In this role, he partnered closely with the Executive Committee to drive the company’s financial performance, and also led the Corporate Planning team, as well as Risk, Technology, and the Global Services Group Finance functions.

Christophe joined American Express in 1997 and has held several global business roles of increasing leadership in Paris, Sydney, Singapore, London, and, most recently, New York. Recent roles include CFO for the American Express Global Consumer Business, where he led teams across 10 different countries and managed all financial aspects of the Consumer business.

Christophe, a native of France, holds a Master’s in Management from Audencia Graduate Business School. Christophe and his wife Veronique live in Manhattan, and they have two children.

Rafael Marquez, President, International Card Services

Rafael Marquez is President of International Card Services. In this position Rafa is primarily responsible for driving financial results and unlocking growth strategies for the company’s international issuing activities.

Rafa joined American Express Mexico in February 1999 and has served in multiple positions in the organization, among them VP for Small Business Services International, VP of Acquisition, Strategic Partnerships and Small Businesses for the Mexican market, Country Manager of Spain and SVP of Proprietary Consumer Services, Western Europe. He then became Senior Vice President, UK Country Manager, as part of the OneEurope organization and he was then appointed as EVP of Consumer Europe, Joint Ventures EMEA, and ICS Member Engagement. Most recently, Rafa served as the President of International Consumer Services and Global Loyalty Coalition.

Before joining American Express, he worked for ScotiaBank and BBVA Bancomer in Mexico.

Born in Seville, Spain, he and his wife Cecilia live with their four children in London. He holds a BE Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad Panamericana and an Executive MBA from IPADE.

Anna Marrs is Group President of Global Commercial Services and Credit & Fraud Risk at American Express. She is responsible for the company’s B2B payments, working capital, AP automation and spend management businesses serving millions of small, mid-sized, large, and global companies around the world. Anna is also responsible for leading the team that oversees risk management capabilities and strategies, helping to drive growth for the company by delivering best-in-industry fraud protection and controls for the company’s entire portfolio of cards, both business and consumer.

Anna is a member of American Express’ Executive Committee, which is responsible for developing the company's strategic direction and driving business performance, and an Officer of American Express National Bank. She joined American Express in September 2018. 

Prior to American Express, Anna was based in Singapore, where she was Standard Chartered’s Regional CEO for ASEAN and South Asia, and the head of the bank’s Commercial and Private Banking divisions globally. She joined Standard Chartered as Group Head of Strategy and Corporate Development in 2012.

Before Standard Chartered, Anna was a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Banking Practice, based in London. Prior to McKinsey, she was the CEO of a financial information company. She started her career at D. E. Shaw, a New York-based investment firm.

Anna is a member of DocuSign’s Board of Directors and sits on the Board’s Audit Committee. She also sits on the London Business School’s Governing Body, responsible for the school’s financing, property, business, academic, and non-academic affairs. Anna was named to Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance list for the past three years.

Anna holds an MBA from London Business School and an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. She lives in New York with her husband and two children.

As the company’s first Chief Partner Officer, Glenda defines the partnership strategy for American Express and leads the key strategic initiatives and negotiations for the company across the travel, technology, retail, media, sports, and entertainment industries. David Nigro is the Chief Risk Officer of American Express and American Express National Bank (AENB), as well as head of the Global Risk and Compliance organization. He is also a member of the American Express Executive Committee, which develops the company’s strategic direction and determines its key policies.

As Chief Risk Officer, David is responsible for overseeing the company’s risk profile, ensuring safety and soundness, and maintaining the company’s control and compliance environments. He leads the teams that provide independent critical oversight and governance of enterprise risks. As part of these responsibilities, his teams also manage regulatory exams end-to-end along with the Global Privacy Program.

Previously, David was Chief Credit Officer for the U.S. Consumer business and EVP of Credit and Fraud Risk Capability responsible for risk management for U.S. Consumer Services. David has extensive experience in managing through business cycles and market discontinuity with a deep understanding of the consumer and small business lending industry. He led the enhancement and expansion of the company’s Financial Relief Programs globally and played a key role in delivering best-in-class credit performance both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Denise Pickett, President, Global Services Group

Denise Pickett is president of the Global Services Group at American Express Company, a role she assumed in September 2019. She leads the company’s customer service, credit and fraud operations serving consumers, commercial clients and merchants around the world, as well as consumer travel and lifestyle services. She also oversees critical internal shared services including real estate, procurement and sales enablement. Denise is an officer of the company and a member of the Executive Committee.

Since joining American Express in 1992, Denise has held a series of progressively senior roles throughout the company. Previously, she served as Chief Risk Officer and President, Global Risk, Banking and Compliance for American Express, a role she assumed in February 2018.

Prior to that, she was Country Manager for American Express Canada and President and CEO of Amex Bank of Canada. Denise subsequently relocated to the United States where she served as President of American Express OPEN, the small business division, followed by President of U.S. Consumer Services.

Currently, Denise sits on the board of directors of TELUS, one of Canada’s largest telecommunications companies. She also serves as Vice Chair on the board of directors of the United Way of New York City.

Denise holds an MBA in marketing from the Schulich School of Business at York University and earned an Honours B.S.C. from the University of Toronto. She was named to Payment Source’s Most Influential Women in Payments in 2018.

Ravi Radhakrishnan, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Ravi Radhakrishnan is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of American Express Company. Previously, Ravi worked at Citigroup for 18 years, during which time he held various technology roles in Capital Markets and Investment Banking, including global head of Equities Technology & Electronic Trading Infrastructure; global co-head of Equities and Prime Services Technology; and global head of Markets Operations Technology.

Laureen E. Seeger is Chief Legal Officer of American Express Company, a position she assumed in July 2014. As the corporation’s chief legal officer, Seeger oversees the Law, Government Affairs, Global Security and Corporate Secretarial functions for American Express and its subsidiaries. Ms. Seeger is a member of the American Express Executive Committee and Enterprise Risk Management Committee.

Prior to American Express, Ms. Seeger served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of McKesson Corporation. Preceding her appointment in March 2006, Seeger was Vice President and General Counsel of McKesson Provider Technologies (MPT), McKesson’s health care information technology solutions business.

Before joining McKesson, Ms. Seeger was with the Atlanta law firm of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP from 1992 to 2000, where she was Partner-In-Charge of the Technology Litigation Section, and was with the firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue from 1986 to 1992.

Ms. Seeger serves on the board of FTI Consulting, Inc., a global business advisory firm, the board of the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of General Counsel and is on the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy. Ms. Seeger previously served on the board of the California Chamber of Commerce, the board of Umpqua Holdings Corporation, and the board of the Bay Area Chapter of the American Heart Association.

Jennifer Skyler, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Jennifer Skyler is the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at American Express. In this role, she oversees public affairs and media relations, social media, colleague communications, reputational risk management and corporate social responsibility. She is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee, as well as Chairperson of the American Express Foundation.

At American Express, Skyler launched the company’s first Environmental, Governance and Social (ESG) Strategy and Framework, which encompasses three core pillars: Promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI); Build Financial Confidence; and Advance Climate Solutions. This strategy was released in the company’s first ESG Report in the fall of 2020.

Additionally, to help small businesses as they recovered from the economic effects of the pandemic, Skyler and her team launched the Backing Historic Restaurants campaign, a $1 million grant program in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation to support historic and culturally significant restaurants navigate the pandemic and shift toward recovery. Skyler’s Corporate Affairs & Communications function also played a key role in creating the Coalition to Back Black Businesses, a collaboration between American Express, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the nation’s four leading Black Chambers – the National Black Chamber of Commerce, National Business League, Walker’s Legacy and U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. – to award $10 million to support Black-owned small business recovery in the U.S. over the next four years. The program has supported more than 600 businesses to date.

Prior to American Express, Skyler served as Chief Communications Officer at WeWork, where she built a multi-disciplinary department that included communications, government relations, public affairs, strategic events, brand, and social impact. Before this, she ​launched and oversaw Facebook's consumer communications and data science teams and was responsible for the press strategy around key products and partnerships that encompassed news, sports, entertainment, and social good. She also worked at Polyvore, a company acquired by Yahoo, where she was the first public relations hire, leading communications and marketing strategies.

Skyler began her career in newsrooms, first at CNN, where she started as an executive assistant and rose through the ranks to become a White House producer. After working with Norah O’Donnell at MSNBC, Skyler became an anchor producer at the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. At CBS, she was part of the team that was nominated for two Emmy Awards and won the Alfred I. duPont Award for political coverage during the 2008 election.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Skyler majored in Communications Studies with a concentration in Japanese. She serves on the University of Michigan’s Tri-State NextGen Leadership Council, is a member of the Institute for Public Relations Board of Directors, is on the National Trust for Historic Preservation Board of Trustees, sits on the Board of All in Together, and is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society.

Anré Williams is Chief Executive Officer of American Express National Bank (AENB) and Group President, Enterprise Services, a role he assumed in April 2021.

As CEO of AENB, Anré oversees all aspects of American Express’ U.S. banking operation, which is responsible for over 60 percent of the company’s total revenues. In addition, as Group President of Enterprise Services, Anré leads American Express’ largest shared services organizations that support the company globally. These groups include technology, digital capabilities, Card, merchant and consumer travel servicing, real estate and procurement functions. The organizations he oversees comprise approximately two-thirds of the company’s total workforce.

Previously, he was Group President of American Express’ Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) organization responsible for managing relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express Cards, as well as the company’s payments network, bank partnerships, international loyalty coalition programs, and relationships with its largest strategic partners.

Anré began his career at American Express as a manager in the Consumer Card division and then served for several years in the Small Business Services group, where he led new product development and advertising. In 1999, he joined the company’s Corporate Payments organization as a divisional vice president and was named President, Global Corporate Payments in 2007, responsible for marketing American Express’ commercial payment products to mid-size and large companies around the world. Anré was appointed President of Global Merchant Services in November 2011 and was named Group President, GMNS and a member of the company’s Executive Committee in February 2018.

Anré is a member of the American Express National Bank Board, the Wharton Board of Advisors, and the USA Track & Field Foundation Board.

He earned his BA from Stanford University and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Anré resides in South Orange, NJ with his family.
