Laureen Seeger is the Chief Legal Officer of American Express since July 2014. In this role, she oversees the Law, Government Affairs, Global Security and Corporate Secretarial functions for American Express and its subsidiaries. Ms. Seeger is a member of the company’s Executive Committee and Enterprise Risk Management Committee.
Prior to American Express, Ms. Seeger served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of McKesson Corporation from 2006-2014, following her role as Vice President and General Counsel of McKesson Provider Technologies. Before joining McKesson, she was the Partner-In-Charge of the Technology Litigation Section of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP from 1992-2000, and worked at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue from 1986-1992.
Ms. Seeger serves on the boards of FTI Consulting, Inc., the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, the Executive Committee of the Association of General Counsel and is on the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy. She previously was on the boards of the California Chamber of Commerce, Umpqua Holdings Corporation, and the Bay Area Chapter of the American Heart Association. Ms. Seeger earned a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
