Mr. Grosfield is Group President, U.S. Consumer Services, where he oversees the U.S. Consumer card portfolio, American Express Travel, the Centurion Lounge network, Global Dining, U.S. Consumer Banking, and Amex Offers Digital Media. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Grosfield leads American Express’ enterprise-wide technology, brand advertising and management, and corporate development functions and is also leading the AI transformation program strategy for the enterprise. He is a member of the American Express Executive Committee and serves as an executive officer of the company.
Since joining American Express in 2004, Mr. Grosfield has held a series of senior leadership roles, including President, U.S. Consumer Services, Executive Vice President & General Manager of U.S. Consumer Marketing and Global Premium Services, Country Manager for American Express Canada and President and CEO of Amex Bank of Canada, and Vice President & General Manager for International Small Business Services.
Prior to American Express, Mr. Grosfield worked for The Boston Consulting Group and was a lawyer with Osler in Toronto.
Mr. Grosfield serves on New York Life’s board of directors and the board’s Audit and Insurance & Operations committees. He holds a bachelor’s degree and LLB With Distinction from Western University in Canada.
