
Dr. Badi is the President of Global Servicing at American Express. In this role, he leads the company’s customer service, travel & lifestyle, credit & collections, and fraud operations teams that serve our global consumer, banking, merchant, and commercial customers. He also oversees key enablement functions that help to power the company's products and services. Dr. Badi is a member of American Express’ Executive Committee.
Prior to this role, Dr. Badi served as President of Global Network Services, responsible for growing Amex’s network in more than 110 countries. He joined American Express in 2018 as Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing the company’s medium-to-long term strategy, future planning process, and ensuring alignment across the enterprise.
Previously, Dr. Badi worked for Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he was a Senior Partner & Managing Director leading the firm’s Payments & Transaction Banking Practice. Before BCG, he worked with multiple technology start-ups and as a scientist with NASA’s Gravity Probe B Relativity Mission.
Dr. Badi earned his doctorate, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and his Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Stanford University. He is a Trustee of the Tenement Museum of New York City and on the Board of Directors for the International Rescue Committee.
